Samples of Work
Time Magazine
I had the privilege of being one of the artist featured in TIME Magazine’s Black NFT Artist article. This was a unique and great honor to be identified and included as one of the artist of color using the emerging Blockchain technology. The photo accompanying the article was a reenactment of the iconic great day in harlem photo which featured jazz legends like Dizzy Gillespie, Count Basie and more. As an artist and a native Harlemite, it was an honor to be a part of the piece and to pay homage to a foundational text. The legacy of the photo is perhaps only dwarfed by the legacy of a publication like Time Magazine.
Exhibition in Greece
In the wake of George Floyd's murder protest and civil disobedience spread across the nation. I was still in NYC and for 30 straight days I went and documented these acts of defiance. The result was a collection photographs which would become known as AWOKENING. Selections from Awokening would go on to catch global attention. In 2021 and 2025 some of the images were featured internationally in a show in Athens, Greece.
Artist in Residence
In 2023 I was selected as the Fulton County Public Library Artist in Residence. During this 3 month residency I worked out of a studio in the Central Branch, and worked to create a keystone project. Hosting open studio hours I invited the community, the public and local figures to sit and be photographed with their favorite. books. The residency culminated with my solo show “D.E.A.R. Atlanta” at the central library branch in 2024.
Professional Hip-Hop Photojournalist
During the height of the blog era in the early 2010s I was a I was a NYC based music photographer. For the better part of a decade I captured the ascent of the careers of artist like J. Cole, A$ap Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and more. In that time I was in house at XXL magazine and my work was featured in Complex, Brooklyn Magazine and others. I was able to capture iconic moments not just of hip hop of up-and-comers and but of established legends as well.
